Kindergarten
– 3rd Grade Category
Rules
- An adult must accompany the child / children
- Books from the library are taken home
and READ
- A reading record will be kept up by the parent/child,
but it is left at the library; (these are kept on the first table
in the center of the library)
- Document every book read by placing the TITLE on the
Reading Record during each visit to the library and bring the record to
the desk for staff to initial
- For every week the child visits the library, they get
a coupon for something free or discounted
- For every 4 Books Read, the child gets a sticker to
put on a poster located in the library
- For every 4 books, they get to put their name in the
drawing box (this is kept on the first table in the center of the library)
for prizes given on party day –
But the Child must be present on Party Day to Win
- If 16 books are read within the 6 week summer reading
program the child will receive a certificate
- Additionally, prizes are drawn during Special Programs

Books Reading Level 3 or above are allowed
- ONLY AR
Books worth 2 or more points are allowed
5. For every POINT read the child gets a
